Eligibility: The Fiordland Wapiti Foundation Photo Competition (“the Competition”) is open to individuals who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry. Employees of Fiordland Wapiti Foundation, its affiliates, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.
Competition Period: The Competition begins and ends on the dates specified by the Fiordland Wapiti Foundation in the competition announcement. Entries submitted after the specified deadline will not be considered.
Entry: To enter the Competition, participants must submit their original, high-resolution photograph(s) through the designated submission platform. There is no entry fee, and participants may submit multiple entries.
Copyright and Ownership: By submitting an entry, participants affirm that they are the sole creator of the image(s) and hold all necessary rights to the submitted photograph(s). Participants retain the copyright to their submitted images.
License Grant: By entering the Competition, participants grant the Fiordland Wapiti Foundation a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, perpetual license to use, reproduce, distribute, display, and create derivative works of the submitted photograph(s) for the purposes of marketing, promotion, and other purposes related to the foundation. The photographer will be credited whenever their work is used by the foundation.
Judging and Selection of Winner: All entries will be displayed on the Fiordland Wapiti Foundation website, where registered users can vote for their favorite image(s) in each category. Each registered user is allowed to cast one vote per category. The photograph(s) with the highest number of votes in each category will be declared the winner(s). In the event of a tie, the Chair of the Fiordland Wapiti Foundation will have the deciding vote. The judges’ and Chair’s decisions are final and binding. No correspondence or discussion concerning their decision will be entered into.
Notification of Winner: The winner of the Competition will be notified via email within 14 days of the competition’s closing date. The winner must confirm receipt of the notification within 7 days. If the winner fails to respond within the specified time, the Fiordland Wapiti Foundation reserves the right to select an alternative winner.
Personal Information: By entering the Competition, participants consent to the Fiordland Wapiti Foundation collecting, storing, and using their personal information for the purposes of administering the Competition and in accordance with the foundation’s privacy policy.
Liability: The Fiordland Wapiti Foundation will not be held responsible for any loss or damage arising from participation in the Competition or the use of any prize awarded.
Amendments: The Fiordland Wapiti Foundation reserves the right to modify or amend these Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice.
Governing Law: The Competition and these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand. By participating, entrants agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand in relation to any disputes arising out of or in connection with the Competition or these Terms and Conditions.
Acceptance of Terms and Conditions: By entering the Competition, participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of the Fiordland Wapiti Foundation, which are final and binding in all respects.
Voting Process: To vote in the Competition, users must be registered on the Fiordland Wapiti Foundation website. Each registered user may cast one vote per category. Any attempts to manipulate the voting process or engage in fraudulent voting activities may result in disqualification of the participant and/or removal of votes, as determined by the Fiordland Wapiti Foundation at its sole discretion.
